Batucadinha is a music workshop inspired by the richness of Brazilian music, aimed at children aged 5 to 14.

Through percussion, songs, movement, play, and collective creation, children develop musicality, motor coordination, creativity, listening skills, concentration, and artistic expression in a fun and welcoming way.

Throughout the semester, we explore Brazilian rhythms such as samba, baião, coco, ciranda, and maracatu, in addition to a repertoire of traditional and contemporary Brazilian songs. The children also have the opportunity to learn about different percussion instruments and how to play them in a group.

More than just learning music, Batucadinha is a space to create friendships, develop confidence, and experience Brazilian culture through the joy of making music together.

The classes are open to Brazilian children and children of all nationalities. No prior musical experience or instrument is necessary.

At the end of the semester, we will hold an optional presentation where the children can share some of the repertoire they have developed throughout the classes with family and friends.
